The Fabric’s co-creation process is unique as it focuses on the two most important parts of a start-up: the market and the founding team. With the help of The Fabric advisors and staff, Rajan Raghavan and Prabakar Sundarrajan, co-founders of The Fabric, have identified the white space and found the entrepreneurs for every co-created company. This is the co-creation of Rosetta.
Rosetta Story – The IoT Vulnerability Analysis
The first step of the co-creation process is the identification of white space in the cloud and IoT infrastructure market. This identification began when Keerti Melkote, President at Aruba, introduced a group of entrepreneurs from Aruba to Rajan Raghavan and Prabakar Sundarrajan in late 2017. They proposed a control plane in the cloud that utilized scanners in a highly distributed format. This proposal was far too narrow so Rajan, Prabakar, and the team began to brainstorm until the concept morphed into a vulnerability analysis in the IoT space.</ This was their high-level thesis. It was broad enough that a company would have the opportunity to grow but specific enough to allow for innovation.
The second step of the formation process is the search for entrepreneurs with enough expertise and interest to help build the company. Rajan and Prabakar already had their group of entrepreneurs! From that group, Chip Howes, former distinguished architect at Aruba, and Rich Langston, former Sr. Product Manager at Infoblox and an Aruba alum himself, continued on with the thesis with The Fabric. They were both brought on as EIRs and further researched their solution.
Now that the white space was identified and the entrepreneurs were found, the co-creation process moved forward. Chip and Rich were brought on as co-founders with The Fabric and began to solidify the solution that would fit into the white space identified. With the help and support from The Fabric Chip and Rich initiated the formation of their company; thus Rosetta was born.
